Jon Young

Jon L. Young was born and raised in Corrales, NM, at the time it was a small farming village in central New Mexico. Being raised in a community so closely knit with its agriculture, livestock and strong sense of family, Jon developed deep roots in nature and a closeness to the people who rely upon it. This deep seated, earthly love is reveled in his large, emotional, bold pieces, brought to life in charcoal. Jon believes that working with all natural materials brings his pieces closer to the earth. He strives to let the beauty of nature come out in all of his work.
